What else can we help you with...

An Asthma Clinic is held regularly by the practice nurse. Patients with this condition are invited to attend at least once a year.

Cardiac clinics - patients with ischaemic heart disease, including those who have had heart attacks, are offered follow-up review by our trained nurses.

Diabetic clinics - we advise all people with diabetes to attend for a 6 month or annual review. You will usually receive an invitation to attend when your appointment is due, but if you think you have not been seen recently, you can contact the surgery to arrange an appointment on 9150287.

NHS Physiotherapy - appointments are made by a doctor's referral.

Flu vaccinations - we particularly recommend this for our patients with heart, chest and kidney disease, diabetes and some other chronic diseases. It is also recommended for older people and for residents of nursing or rest homes. Please contact the reception staff in mid September for details of the dates of our flu vaccination clinics.

Minor Surgery - some minor surgical procedures are undertaken.

Well Man Check - our nurses offer a Well Man Check which includes blood pressure, height, weight, glucose and cholesterol. Prostate screening is best discussed with your GP.

All of these services are by appointment only - details at reception.

Health Visitors - the health visitors are based at Hampton House and can be contacted on 0117 330 2626 or 0117 330 2625 between 8,30am - 5.pp pm Monday to Friday. They are experienced in the health and welfare of the family, and work mostly with young children and the elderly. A Health Visit always attends the child health clinics.

Community Nurses - a team is based at Hampton House and carry out general nursing duties in the patients' homes. Telephone them on 0117 330 2717 between 8.30am and 9.30am Monday to Friday.

Community Mental Health Team - The practice has close links with the local mental health teams, and referrals are made through your doctor. The doctors and nurses can also recommend local counselling services where appropriate.

Body Mass Index (BMI) - calculate your Body Mass Index here

Blood Pressure check - are you over 45 years old and haven't been to the doctors for 5 years or more? If so why not pop in to our Open Treatment room between 9.00 - 1.15 and 4.00 - 6.00 to have your Blood Pressure checked. No appointment necessary but please remember to see a receptionist first to add your name to the list.
